TDK builds Malaysia’s
first 10m semi-anechoic chamber and 3m fully-anechoic chamber
CEDAR
PARK, TEXAS, November 19, 2010 –
TDK RF Solutions Inc. congratulates
PSDC Shared Services Center
of Malaysia on the
inauguration of its new EMC Test Laboratory. TDK was selected by
PSDC to build Malaysia’s first 10m semi-anechoic chamber and 3m
fully-anechoic chamber along with a full EMC test system incorporating
TDK’s advanced EMC testing technology.
PSDC’s
new facility will offer electrical safety testing, EMC testing,
benchmark and performance testing, and turnkey certification management
to the Malaysian market.
TDK
delivered this project on time as promised.

PSDC (Penang Skills Development Centre) was established in 1989 and is
the first tripartite, industry-led skills training and education center
in Malaysia.
The establishment of this high end design and development
testing facility is a direct result of the Federal Government responding
to the needs of industry members who drive and develop the E&E industry
in Malaysia. These facilities are essential for the industry to scale
the manufacturing value chain towards high end activities. Leveraging on
the strong manufacturing base which has prevailed for the past 30 years,
the industry is ready to take on design and development activities.

especially smaller local outfits are deterred from pursuing this avenue
