TDK FULLY
AUTOMATIC, PROGRAMMABLE SLIDING DOOR PROVIDES EFFECTIVE RF SHIELDING AND
EASE OF OPERATION
DÜSSELDORF,
GERMANY –
Designed to meet the rigorous standards in EMC test environments, the
newly developed automatic sliding door from TDK provides high-level RF
protection with a unique and reliable opening and closing mechanism.
Unlike standard sliding door designs, the TDK automatic sliding door is
driven by two synchronized stepping motors. This allows automatic and
programmable operation, and smooth, vibration-free opening and closing at
both constant and variable speeds. Effective sealing and shielding is
achieved with TDK's innovative ‘Zero Force' contact clamping
mechanism that imparts no excessive force to the surrounding shielded room
structure. Long term operational reliability and ease of maintenance have
been successfully achieved with this sate-of-the-art sliding door.
Operated
from a remotely mounted switch panel, control and operation of the door is
greatly improved over standard pneumatic-powered alternatives. The door
incorporates a freestanding support structure and is supplied with a
synchronized ramp or elevator mechanism. Operation of the ramp is
initiated automatically during the opening and closing process. A
zero-threshold version is also available. Available in standard and custom
sizes, the fully CE compliant door allows easy access for maintenance and
is suitable for use with any shielded structure.
Based
on years of experience in the design and construction of anechoic
chambers, TDK has also developed a range of semi-automatic swing doors and
low-cost manual sliding doors. TDK chambers, doors, and absorbing
materials are available in North America through its U.S. subsidiary, EMC
Automation. For more information visit www.emc-automation.com
